What a BULLSHIT patent, DGP.

Motor Generators, with large flywheels, have been used for DECADES to regulate frequency.

Somebody had their head up their ass in granting that patent.

OK - I went to their site - read more about the 'high performance flywheels' they tout - sounds like extremely typical penny stock hyping to me. Perhaps they have MARGINALLY more efficient flywheels - but HIGHLY unlikely. Flywheel storage of energy is TOO DAMNED EXPENSIVE - always has been - and this company's solution is even MORE expensive.

Would have to read the 'details' of the patent - but I strongly suspect that the 'PR' pushing this patent was entirely incorrect on precisely WHAT was patented. A certain specific flywheel configuration with 'magnetic bearings' etc, etc, is PROBABLY patentable - but the PR claim of patenting 'frequency regulation on power grids' - NO WAY IN HELL is that patentable. Ideas and general principles CAN NOT be patented. Specific devices CAN be.

It is really pushing the envelope to attempt to claim 'high energy flywheels' are what make this patentable.
