Well, ribit ... you know the old adage ...

"If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas."

First, two caveats to help avoid any gnashing of teeth:

1. Please notice, ribit ... I said "dogs," not "Dawgs."

2. Monkey ... I wasn't talkin' 'bout your dogs. I'm sure you take lots better care of your kennel than they do with that flea-bitten collie down in College Station. (Hmmm ... now that I stop and think about it, I'm not sure if that last part is actually gonna help avoid any gnashing of teeth or future hollerin' on this board, but ... oh well ... so be it. Cheesy Grin )

ribit, it all has to do with the types of kids an institution is willing to tolerate in order to "further" their sports program. To be sure, every program is going to experience some bad apples along the way, but when the program's financial success becomes absolutely paramount at all costs, that's when aberrant behavior trends toward becoming the norm for some programs - because they overlook and tolerate bad behavior so much that, in effect, they encourage it.

...LSU of course. They are still trailing Miami in NCAA rules violations though. Is it just me, or is football (first pro and now college) turning into institutionalized thuggery?
