At the Iftar dinner, a White House sponsored Ramadan event, President Obama says "Islam has always been part of our American family." Obama also says "this has been especially true over the past 10 years," referring to the attacks on September 11, 2001. Here's what he said:
"This evening reminds us of both the timeless teachings [You mean "timeless teachings" like the cold-blooded abuse and murder of non-Muslims, Muslim women, and Muslim children? B.] of a great religion [You mean a religion "great" in numbers of followers, but not great in its quality of character. B.] and the enduring strengths of a great nation. Like so many faiths, Islam has always been part of our American family [This is a patently false claim, period. B.], and Muslim Americans have long ["Long"? Then why is it that you immediately turn your comments to remark about only the past 10 years, eh? Last time I checked, the United State of America has been around for 235 years. 10 years of supposed significant contributions by Muslims out of a total of 235 years is not "long" by any stretch of the imagination, don'tcha know, B. Hussein.
B.] contributed to the strength and character of our country, in all walks of life. This has been especially true over the past 10 years."
"In one month, we will mark the 10th anniversary of those awful attacks that brought so much pain to our hearts [Let's not forget, B. Hussein, that the attacks of which you speak were committed by Muslims. B.] It will be a time to honor all those that we’ve lost, the families who carry on their legacy, the heroes who rushed to help that day and all who have served to keep us safe during a difficult decade. And tonight, it’s worth remembering that these Americans were of many faiths and backgrounds, including proud and patriotic Muslim Americans." [And, to the exent that any of the victims and first responders on 9/11 were Muslims, I honor their sacrifice ... but that does not mean I have to honor or respect their religion ... the religion that sponsored this attack, in the first place. B.]
