BTW, I discovered that the Hartford Insurance company will insure my home and autos WITHOUT being a member of AARP and at the same rates I had when I was.

They aren't dumb as LOTS of fed up people like me have left the AARP in droves, and they want to leep the policyholders and the premiums coming in.

I will say this about the Hartford.
They have been GREAT to me.
Good rates and GREAT service even when I had an accident and totaled my other vehicle some three years ago my rates never changed. And their claims service was exceptional. They sent me a check for the retail price of what my 9 year old car was valued at plus sales tax.

I couldn't believe it.
I simply refuse to participate with any money going to AARP for membership to support those commie/socialistas who are trying toproper off the backs of the baby boomers.
Ain't happening here.

I love the board.
Sorry for lack of being around. Am recovering from a heart operation and am doing fine. Had a valve replaced. Am limited to time out of bed for resting but that is getting better.
So when you guys do not see me for a few days it wasn't because I gave up on you all, including Ribit's board, it was because I was unable to get there!

I get about 20 minutes to half an hour of "free time" in the morning so this is it.

I'll see you all tomorrow!

On the "almighty asshole ripoff personnel" - crooks ? You bet. Look at their 'compensation' packages - and the fact that THEY are probably the LARGEST re-seller of insurance products in this country - if not the world. They were entirely onboard with o'feuhrer-care - including publishing the crap (the genocide plans) of the o'feuhrer's 'national health care' czar - the one written by the modern day goebbels - brother to rahm the despicable.

ps: On facism and communism - the two 'systems' are entirely equivalent - and I use the terms interchangably. The differences twixt these two forms of 'guvmint owns everything - all are slaves' types of guvmint are entirely superficial and meaningless - but many will dance on their pinheads attempting to apply one to the 'left' and one to the 'right'. That is nothing but ignorant propaganda and smoke-screening. The original 'left and right' when applied to these two forms of statism were feable obfuscation attempts by elitist (read: hard core communist, such as o'feuhrer) academics and other ne'er-do-wells .... 'facism' was the sacrificial pig to protect the 'holy cow' of communism. But 'both' forms of guvmint are run by nothing but animals.
