Thank you Due!
I wondered how that actually was supposed to work. I had read somewhere that one of the past Presidents fired several Judges, Federal ones I think, and they were gone.

I did not know how it worked with the Supremes but with a DECENT and conservative Senate and House, I cannot help but wonder if the likes of Sotomayor?, you know, the one who thinks because she is of Latino descent and a woman she somehow is endued with wisdom nobody else has, and that other Socialist radical that never served as a Judge anywhere but was put in there because OBAMA and Reid wanted her there to carryout that destruction of America agenda, could be removed by a decent, country loving, America FIRST, CAPITALIST, group of elected officials.

I know that's reaching, but I can dream! lol!!!!!

the best,

micro....

Supreme Court justices can be impeached and the procedure is the same as impeaching the president--the House impeaches and the Senate holds a trial. The reference of course is The Constitution:

Article III
Section 1.

The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.

'Good behaviour' is not defined, but Art. II Sec.4 specifies: The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
