I am not going to bother going after the so-called 'rebuttal' point by point.
I listened to Ron Paul make the speech. I did NOT read any further commentary, either before or after, except what you saw here on Constitution - no blogs, no media, nothing ... what you saw from me was my honest ANGER at what he had said - and I am STILL extremely angry.
No, this is not due to 'flag waving patriotism' - not due to 'jingoism' or 'misplaced patriotism' - this was due to the very ugly nature of what Ron Paul put out as a broadside against ALL Americans - and, quite frankly, I still find it totally unacceptable.
We do part company on Mr. Paul. He has a lot going for him in other areas - but when it comes to he, himself, pissing people off because he doesn't think through what he is saying, and who he is attacking - he can not, and will not be a viable candidate in this country. Yes - He will generate FERVENT supporters - but others, like myself and CTJ - will find ourselves totally unable to vote for the man.
My opinion, he is unelectable and will remain so.

WE ARE NOT TO BLAME FOR 9-11 - WE DID NOT INVITE THE ATTACK. Absurd explanation (from above video) is absolutely correct.
This man does NOT understand what JIHAAD is - and that 'blowback' is almost ENTIRELY 'propaganda' - it doesn't matter WHAT WE DO - the muslims WILL establish their world wide caliphate.
NO - THEY DO NOT ATTACK US BECAUSE WE ARE OVER THERE.
Nothing has changed since Jefferson - ask Jefferson.
Sorry - Ron Paul just is flat assed WRONG on these issues.
Just as in Bush the First, the words 'They Attack Us because we are over there.' are Election Killers - DOA. Ron Paul laid ALL the blame for 9-11 on our shoulders. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT - that is what Ron Paul is stating - with no apology, and a TOTALLY unacceptable 'explanation'.
Unacceptable, Due. Just flat, and totally, unacceptable.

BTW: I told, via the grapevine, people in the admin of GWB the SECOND that not finding weaps of mass destruction WOULD bite them in the ass - big time. They thought that finding the 'mass graves' would far overshadow that - and this was before release to the general public. I told them - It will not make any difference. Unless you find those weapons, you are going to have HUGE problems. They didn't - and they did.
