Ribit, that's the theory in keeping China peaceful. I wouldn't bet on it. They're already showing they're peaceful as long as it suits them and doesn't impede their campaign to lock in the world's oil supply for their use. Ask the Phillipines and Vietnam.

...saw a thing on tv where the big wigs who thought that mutuall assured destruction was what had prevented a nuclear war between the east and the west. They wanted to know how it could be done without the nukes. The answer was simple. Get so entangled financially that you can't afford to make war on anyone because their destruction would guarantee your own.

Can't remember where I saw it, but it was interesting.
