Yes, Bob - I am one of the leeches - not having contributed a nickle to the site - but hopefully having contributed decent INDEPENDENT content of value to others.
I have not worked in almost 3 years - and am NOT on any government 'welfare', unemployment *i am self-employed*, food stamps, nor anything else.
Not working has been due to a variety of issues - mostly a current inability to work, rather than lack of opportunity.
Not destitute - but sure as hell not 'rolling in the money' - been screwed, blued, and tatooed by way too many.
IF YOU WILL NOTICE, BOB - neither myself, nor DUE, blame YOU, nor blame your site - nor are we talking about 'running off to another site' to take advantage of that site - because, IF YOU WILL NOTICE, BOB - Due pointed out that the problem that is; REMAINS - no matter where we are. He is ABSOLUTELY correct.
My criticism has been absolutely ON TARGET - at the bastards that are responsible for this.
Speaking for myself, I can not, and will not - provide editorial excerpts and generate traffic for 'other sites' when they have THREATENED ME for doing that which is ENTIRELY LEGAL - and I sure as hell won't provide that type of advertising service for them without charging them a fee.
The question is: Why would ANY site owner allow that type of advertising for 'other sites' - without receiving remuneration ?
Just a thought in passing, Bob. Your criticism and distress, while understandable, is certainly mis-directed in this case.
