Yep. Ambrose wrote Band of Brothers, and his (5) kids are the research staff for his 'history book factory'.

Ever read 'Longitude' by Dava Sobel? It's the story of William Harrison's quest to solve the elusive problem. The illustrated version is best--filled with maps, etc.

I received this year from my daughter a DVD on the Lewis and Clark expedition and it is great. It is from PBS and done by Ken Burns and someone else.

If you are into history this is based on the book by Historian Stephen Ambrose titled "Undaunted Courage", which is also an outstanding work.

I just thought I would pass this along in case there were more history buffs around.
