This is a result of several things, not the least of which starts with White House Policy.
The United States has more than enough KNOWN light crude oil to take care of itself for centuries. The problem is the people in charge of energy policies.
Yes, it will take a little time to be able to tap that and get it to the refineries, but not very long.
All that need happen to bring the spot market price down is a simple announcement from the White House that we are going to start using America's resources and drill, pump, and refine our own oil.
Oil price will plummet overnight. Gasoline price will plummet overnight.
Yes, we need to constantly be vigilant looking for alternative methods to power cars with and better mass transit and home heating.
I think we can accomplish that in one hundred years with our technology. Just turn it loose.
Please don't force electric cars down our throats, millions of windmills producing almost nothing in terms of mega watts, and all the other baloney that has been brought up by the White House.
Right now, coal and oil supply the country and we have a self sufficient abundance of all that.
So, as you said, HANG Them HIGH for treason the citizens of the United States.
