Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well!

It's a mixed bag for us, the nearness of our daughter's birthday, her passing last year, the missing of her and the Inlaw's being the social gatherers has left a gap, and now our grandson is recovering from Covid, so that has his sisters spooked, so it seems only us seniors are going to be gathering.. Our Granddaughter & husband are out from WV, staying with us, but are spooked by her brother's Covid, and possibly our exposure today so moved on over to his Dad's place for the rest of their stay.. Pretty confusing, but now other family on my son's side have picked up Covid, so their whole holiday has been cancelled.. Their younger son is home from College (Long beach) so they dare not expose him, before driving him back down for next week...

So, much confusion this year, overall it's OK, but Covid has definitely messed up the normal gatherings, the carefree days are over...

If all goes well, we'll be having Thanksgiving at our #2 son's house. Normally both he and his wife have worked on Thanksgiving in the past (for years they both either worked for or ran their own catering company) but due to both of them having recently changed jobs, they find themselves free this year. So, they're planning a big open-house type celebration for family and friends up in L.A. Between our son's expertise as a pastry chef and his wife's world-class Mexican cuisine, eating at their house is always a culinary experience.

Besides, we'll be able to spend some time with our youngest granddaughter, Paloma, who's in the 3rd grade.
