The Vietnam WAr was a REAL, genuine, live war with real ammunition being used and fired at soldiers on both sides.
Like in all prior wars, the people who were being MAIMED, BLOWN ASUNDER, (legs, feet, arms, intestines, heads) being separated form what a efw seconds was a real live YOUNG MAN usually under 30 years of age and most barely more than teen agers.
The after effects of mangled bodies who survived are life long and painful.. Many have mental problems called PTSD a a result of that in addition to missing body parts and being crippled.
I cannot tell you all how weary I am of hearing and reading such comparisons about the number of deaths caused by a virus and the devastating effects it has particularly on older , elderly people, and most of those with already pre-existing health conditions...
The CLASS A drafted young men who were just out of high school had no such things wrong with them and yet, we wonder why there are so many more women in the population than men. ANYONE with an ounce of sense cwn figure that out... EVERY WAR we have fought has had MEN at the fronts as the combat soldiers who are slaughtered like cattle every single war except for the GULF WAR. That one we did not nearlyas many dead..
So when you lose millions of men in your population over less than a hundred years due to being blown apart, or riddled with bullets, mortar shells, artillery shells and fragments, bombs and missiles, there are less and less men in the population for the ladies to choose from...
The DEATHS in the Vietnam ashould not be compared to this Virus death toll. Its already widely known that many of the so called dead were not dead due to virus anyway. EVERY death certificate said Coronavirus even if it wasn;t the actual cause of death and that also is well documented by front line doctors and nurses...
I would suspect and hope that Ribs would see this in much the same way I do. When one goes to the WALL when in Washington, and remembers the face with the name and you can recall your last conversations with that brother, and you remember what he died from, please do not compare the heroic and gallant fallen heroic soldier who received noting in return for his ultimate sacrifice but dutifully went and fought and gave everything for the cause of His Country.
This comparison really upsets me and dishonors those who gave so much more at such a YOUNG age with a full likfe ahead of them.
I was a lucky one. I don't know why I came back home. It was God's will is all I can reason. But many from my company and platoon did not return and died in multiple pieces.
There is no comparison and to those who were never there or experienced the battlefield, please do not be sucked into this tripe and dishonor..
Thank you...
having flashback now. see you all later..
