California this week declared its independence from the federal government’s feeble efforts to fight Covid-19 — and perhaps from a bit more. The consequences for the fight against the pandemic are almost certainly positive. The implications for the brewing civil war between Trumpism and America’s budding 21st-century majority, embodied by California’s multiracial liberal electorate, are less clear.

Personally I thought the democrats attempt to impeach the
President to be a pretty offensive offensive against the
values of 'We The People'.
But, this appears to be where the right wing fruit loops got
the notion of californica declaring 'nation state hood'.
And, I find it interesting that the clowns actually think they
- with a humongous homeless problem, lack of affordable housing,
and lots of other problems - can survive without the largesse of
the rest of the country.
