Re: "I do notice one trait in your two recent stock picks - the letters PIT :-)"
Uh oh. You're on to me. My more recent picks (which isn't that recent since the picks go back a couple of years) include Karyopharm Therapeutics, Esperion Therapeutics, Pluristem Therapeutics and Serepta Therapeutics. Is there a common theme? You decide. The answer might explain why KPTI, ESPR, PSTI and SRPT have so many letters in common.

As you know, I target stocks with the potential to return 100 percent or more within a year. There's risk involved, but it's been a long time since I've bought anything disastrous. Maybe that's luck, I don't know. But until what I'm doing stops working, I intend to stick to the strategy. (PSTI is a considerable deviation from that strategy, btw. It is the first medical stock I've bought that didn't come with FDA approval for its product. A PSTI purchase incurs much higher risk. The omission also means that the stock has much higher potential... should PSTI's stem cells actually work as advertised and FDA approval be gained. I think the size of the pandemic makes this gamble worthwhile.)

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Re: "One of MY concerns would be an article posted earlier that there are 30 different strains of COVID-19. Does the treatment offered by PSTI address those mutations OR will another formulation be required???"
Let me make one thing clear up front: I don't "think" Pluristem's treatment will work. I hope it will and I think it has a chance. That chance, coupled with the company's low market capitalization, gives the stock a high likelihood of climbing - right up until the treatment is shown to NOT work. That could be many months from now.

If it does work... well, that's a whole different story. Who wouldn't want to own such a stock? It'd be the stuff of dreams.

I will say this: PSTI's treatment has a better chance of handling the 30 strains of SARS-CoV-2 than any vaccine would. That's mostly because, as I understand it, PSTI's stem cells do not target the virus at all. They target the damage the virus does to the body, especially the lungs, helping them to heal faster. That's a strategy that should work against any strain of COVID-19 unless one comes along that damages in a new way. Fighting off the virus itself is left for the body's immune system.
