Important: On April 1, 2020, the Treasury Department announced individuals on Social Security DO NOT need to file a tax return to receive their stimulus payments. The IRS will refer to Form SSA-1099 and Form RRB-1099 to generate the payment. Recipients will receive the money via direct deposit or by check, like they normally receive their benefits.
