ALL day long... I have formatted my sata drives many times.

The reason I suggested a hard drive software is ya can do all kinds of things with it and even run a check on the drive to see if it okay..

Sorry Boss,
but my problem is most definitely NOT a partition problem.
Diskpart reports it as two disks. I recently used Diskpart
on an SSD to wipe out a different problem - like a new blank
disk it was after that. But my problem child says two disks.

I do have some older computers which I 'think' might be able
to boot off a DOS floppy . . . but they be IDE and this is
SATA - will DOS even access SATA drives?

I think Hiren's might be a good idea. I'm pretty sure I have
a disk image of it and the 'magic' to create a bootable USB
stick of it.

Tuesday. Mr. Green

Hmmmmm . . . I see emoticons to the right. But we'll see
if Mr. Greeny works this way.

Zim.
