I don't know about ethically superior...
In Genesis you find out exaclt what the animals were created for. Eating.
I do not like to kill animals. Have no trouble with snakes but the rest of them I would have trouble with. I am glad for the butchers who can do that and as for the slaughter houses, how else are you going to provide meats for an entire population that does not live on a farm or have land big enough to raise cattle or Hogs or chickens?
Ethics has nothing to do with it... It is perfectly ethical to kill (slaughter or otherwise) an animal for the RIGHT REASON. Trophy hunting is not one of the right reasons.
I could not be a farmer for this very reason.
If you is shooting at me I have no problem killing you. Maybe I love animals too much. Don't know.
But more ethical is a bit over the top imo big guy...
By the way, Jesus ATE meat. and HE did not slaughter the animmals himself either....
