Reopening the country will be tricky. Will schools, with all the contagion they introduce to families, be reopened while COVID-19 is still circulating? I don't think so. Not soon, anyway. Most have announced that they're physically closed for the year. But if schools are closed, how will parents of young children be expected to return to their previous work schedules? What about preschools, daycare and nurseries? From a disease standpoint, they're even worse than public schools.

What are reopened communities and businesses going to do if new COVID-19 cases are found within their boundaries? Close again? Will masks become mandatory? Will social separation be mandatory? Is 6' enough? How do businesses that seat employees side-by-side enforce this? Will certain types of businesses that bring people together (theaters, arenas, etc.) be required to stay closed? How about subways, taxis and buses? Will lawsuits be permitted if reopening causes harm? (We've already heard of lawsuits brought against big companies like Wal-mart.) Will telework and tele-education, with all the difficulties that THEY bring, become a norm for certain functions? Is this the end of brick-and-mortar retail outlets?

There are a million details that will need to be ironed out before communities can proceed... or it is going to be a nightmare.
