...most of the pensions in blue states / cities would collapse with or without the virus. All libs have to know is that they can buy votes with big promises and when it comes time to deliver, they will be gone and it will be somebody else's problem.

Re: "Will pensions collapse, too?"Eventually. My guess is that many state employees will continue to be paid during the shutdown, so pensions will continue to receive their contributions too. It's not until the state itself starts receiving less money due to reduced tax collections that pensions will really suffer. That's likely to be a bigger issue in 2021 than in 2020.
