De
good afternoon. The Surgeon General spoke to Chris Wallace today and why I will never know. Wallace did his best to get him to be at odds withthe President and to run down Trump as usual.
The Surgeon General did say something to Wallace when Wallace was hyping the extreme scare tactic of so many deaths. He told Walalce that more people will die this year from something else(I forgot what it was) than this covid19 stuff which seems to focus mostly on people with some relly bad underlying conditions to begin with and thus have a weaker immune system to fight it off. Pretty well the same defiencies one would expect with any other virus or stuff going around annually.

Walace also was opposed to Trump's suggested usage of Hydroxycoquinon and tried to get the Surgeon General to go against the President's idea on television.

I guess my question would be if we takle the rates of succes it has shown from overseas in countries where it actually has been used very successfully in helping patients to recover who were on the verge of death, and then we did a sampled group here in the US already with good results according to Dr. Oz, why would anyone be against a medicine that alreaady exists that can help anyone fight off the illness? That is a game changer. You don't have to die .......

Let's see how long it takes to get our Constituional freedoms and liberties back and the Police State told to stand down. That is more troubling to me than anything else and everything else combined....

Now you know what Germany looked like when Hitler took power...
Never thought I would see this....

Re: "I know I am going to hear all about how horrible a thing it is if you catch this. Really? Why then is it that so very many, a MAJORITY BY FAR, that tests positive don;t have hardly ANY signs they even have it? Why do so many get over it in a week? Why do so many say that it is like a cold?"
The scariest thing about SARS-CoV-19 isn't how miserable its disease, COVID-19, usually is. It's how extraordinarily contagious the virus is.

While COVID-19 rarely kills, it sometimes does. The bigger problem is that it will probably infect a shockingly high percentage of humanity. A disease that is usually mild but infects every person on the planet could be horrendous!

Let's compare it to Ebola. Ebola hardly infected anyone and was pretty difficult to catch unless you were physically touching someone who was oozing blood. But Ebola killed a very high percentage of those who contracted it and that made it bad. COVID-19 is pretty near the opposite. It spreads very easily while killing only rarely. As it turns out, COVID-19 in toto is much, much, much worse than Ebola.

Another way of looking at it: Imagine a new species of termite that only does cataclysmic damage to, say, 3 percent of the buildings it attacks, but 300 million structures are going to be assaulted by it. Such a termite would probably do trillions of dollars in damage to our country. That's what COVID-19 is going to do.

The bottom line is that you're looking at the milder of COVID-19's characteristics and saying "It's not so bad." But you're focused on the wrong thing. You should be focused on the fact that it is SOMETIMES terrible and really difficult to avoid. Most of us are going to catch it. That's why it's bad.
