I agree. Words matter. If he actually was referring to the relaxation of social distancing, rather than the ending of the lockdown, then I owe him an apology.

Re: Until There Are No "New Cases"Fauci didn't say that. He's being misquoted. He actually said "If we get to the part of the curve where it goes down to essentially no new cases, no deaths for a period of time, I think it makes sense that you have to relax social distancing."

"Essentially no new cases" is very different from "no new cases."
