Me! I'm not shocked.

I've been prepping for two things: Currency collapse and pandemic. Those are the two catastrophes I could do anything about that I found at all likely. Fortunately, preparations for the two are practically identical. A third catastrophe, EMP attack, is also likely, but it requires some sort of underground Faraday cage and I'm not in a position to do anything like that just yet. Maybe one day.

The only thing that has shocked me about the coronavirus pandemic is its timing. Why NOW... right after I retired and have yet to get my new house built? @#$%! I am currently debating whether I should put the house on hold. After all, I don't want to sell stocks to pay for it... not right now, crushed as they are. Lousy, lousy timing.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
