I think it was GE and PFE that cut their dividends on me.
And some bank stock I owned some of at the time. (The bank
did a reverse split then got 'owned' by something else.
fortunately it was a small bit player in my portfolio.)
Dividend wise I didn't do all that bad in 2008.
I hear you on the 'rich and infamous' screwing the little
guys every which way but loose. But, at least with the
dividends and 'qualified dividends' I can make money with
a smaller tax bite - just like 'they' can.
Your the first thing that popped into my head when I read that also!!! I dont think your stocks are taking bailout money you should be fine. In 2008 I saw sooo many stocks cancel their divies though. 2008 is when I said WTF just happened and woke up and started my quest to get to the truths. We have been screwed over for ever from the elite/1% and my hard drive in ma head is just about full of truths!!! I may need to reboot my head haaaaaaaaaaaaaa
