...years and years ago, back when snapits was just a small child, cities were built with huge walls to keep marauding armies out. Once an army appeared the King would order everyone into the city. They would lock the gates from the inside and the armies would lay siege from the outside. I have to imagine the way the folks in the cities felt when they awoke every morning, looked out over the wall and said "Crap, the bastids are still out there".

...well, are they still out there?

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Nemo:

Re: "I going out today and stock up more of what I can find........ Its gonna get real friggin ugly....."
Yes it is. I told you the story of my brother who has shut down three businesses. And a customer came to him begging for money back so that she can save HER business. A huge number of America's small businesses - which are the engine of the country - are going to go down and not come back. They, after all, have bills that will continue even if their businesses are suspended. Many will lose their employees even if they do re-start. New employees will have to be trained. Many will not be as good as the old employees.

I called my sister in Sacramento and asked her if she was holing up at my brother's large property. "No," she said. "He isn't allowing me to come over." This is bad, Nemo. It's really bad. Great Depression bad. In some ways worse than that.
