I have been a busy litle beaver (well, fairly large sized beaver) today. After three years of trying to break into the Amazon Distribution Center manufacturing supply chain through Honeywell/Intelligrated, I have finally today gotten that opportunity.
The head guiy of procurement and Quality has finally heard enough from his other suppliers aout the quality lack from A certain paint compny who has a sayiong about Cover the Earth and stores on every street corner.
They manufacture some of the best GARBAGE Powder Coatings you can spend money on.. Honeywell is just now listening to the proefessional powder coaters who were having to put up with poor quality, inconsistent quality, basically just junk powder coating that was really "skimped" on in the ingredients that are essential to make a good quality opwder coated finish.
I happen to be an expert in powder coatings, among other things. Not only do I formulate them but I also personally spray them to the tune of a couple million pounds of it over 20 years. I was a great account to get.
The company that made the best product and then held my price for all 20 years is one I represent on business and I and the owner there are good friends.
I have been asked by Honeywell to please quote their powder coating needs to replace the junk from Sherwin.
This would be a sizeable amount of product especiallyif we do the entire national supply of Honeywell who is in charge of all the Amazon Distribution centers.
Hopefully this will work out well. I alreadyhave exactly matched three of the major colors that are utilized and lall three are far superior to the crap from Sherwin.
They will also cost Honeywell less to purchase and they will look better, cover more square feet per pound, cost less. WIN-WIN-WIN. SO we shall see.
The conversation has started today. Hopefully this will work out well for me and for my former supplier as well.
I will get a percentage of the sales if this happens. That percentage wuill be a significant amount of money..
SO, it started out as a typical end of week Friday and became a long but wonderfully busy day. I am just now sitting down from working on this today. It is 7:36 p.m. here. Wow. It finally has happened. I can hardly believe it....
Thank You Lord !!!
