Compare Covid-19 to a new strain of the flu with its first hospitalized patient just 3 months ago and what you've just said is not true by ANY measure. Not even close. Covid-19 spreads far easier, has a far higher chance of landing a person in the hospital, and kills those who are in the hospital at double the rate. All that the flu has going for it is that millions of people are infected with it at any given time and they are in every conceivable location. In other words, you're comparing an infant pathogen to a mature pathogen and concluding that the mature pathogen is therefore worse.
