Okay, my freezer is empty, cleaned (I had no shortage of Lysol) and running. It'll take an hour or so to be sure that it's getting cold, but it appears to have survived the move + two years of sitting idle.

It's probably 35 years old, btw. And I bet it was made in the U.S.A. We really used to know how to build 'em.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

I need to go unpack and hook up my freezer. It's been in the garage, filled with boxes, for so long that I forgot all about it. Kind of dumb of me since I've been buying all this canned food. Frozen food would be even better.

The only problem is that today's high will be 29° and I'm not looking forward to working in the garage.
