Re: "what if you lose electric and need plenty from a generator? Just curious how many watts your generator provides... "
I don't know. My generator was purchased ten years ago and the box is buried somewhere in the garage. It's never even been opened, much less used. Have I mentioned that I desperately need my barn???? The stupid electrician who won't finish his work keeps me from filling up the barn.

I'd kill right now for more room.

Anyway, I've got the generator. I recall that it was good-sized, so I'm sure it will be more than enough for the essential appliances. (Maybe not enough for the stove, though. But I have propane camp-stoves, propane BBQs and even a propane camp-oven. They can be used in a pinch.)

I don't think the freezer draws all that much power. It doesn't get opened the way a refrigerator does.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

what if you lose electric and need plenty from a generator?

Just curious how many watts your generator provides... Hopefully around 75 - 100 amps at 110 v or maybe some at 220 as well??? (water heater, electric stove, electric clothes dryer, ) unless you feel you can do without those which you may well.
