Interesting thought. However, I am one of the few who believe in knowing anything mechanical that I own and check everything, including my dipstick oil levels before I use the car every day, and I look for signs of oil or other fluids in my driveway. No signs and and a full reading on the dipstick indicates that the oil pan was filled to where it was supposed to and the oil pressure was also where it was supposed to be...
I Also check the tranny fluid, brake fluid, and power steering fluids and the serpentine belts. Yep. My car has TWO of them. Air pressure is checked every other day with an accurate guage. Not a two dollar one....
Remember that I am an ANAL engineer to the max and generally take nothing for granted that is mechanical and I depend on it.
That is why this was so mind blowing and shocking to me. It had to something internal in the engine that caused seizure... Friction someplace....
So now I am somehwat paranoid about how to take care of my new engine and wondering what I could do better.....
Don't know but I will keep investigating...
Looking forward to getting my vehicle back.....
