Re: "You have mentioned Lysol. Do you know that it has any affect at killing Covid 19 virus ? Just wondering....."
Do I know? As in, for a fact? No. The can states that it kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria and goes on to list many - including the SARS Coronavirus and Avian Influenza. Since Covid-19 is caused by something brand new, it isn't yet on the can. But the SARS coronavirus is very closely related to the virus that causes Covid-19.

I don't think Lysol would say that it kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria unless it pretty much kills them all. The company is giving itself a little wiggle room, I think, just in case.

I also checked Wal-mart's competing store-brand product. It has similar ingredients and might just differ because of its scent. It too says it kills 99.9% of germs and viruses. It doesn't list any of them, though.

That's the long answer. The short one is that I'm VERY confident that Lysol kills the virus. However, the virus is aerosolized. It spreads both via surfaces and directly from patient-to-patient through the air, where it can stay afloat for quite a while. Lysol can't disinfect the air.
