I don't know ... maybe it's jest me ... I know yer not supposed to "judge a book by its cover," but ... she jest doesn't look like a prime candidate for police chief of a major metropolitan area ... especially one with as much trouble as Oakland.

Oakland Police Department Chief Anne Kirkpatrick has been fired after three years on the job, the Oakland Police Commission confirmed late Thursday.

The decision to remove Kirkpatrick as the city's top cop was unanimous and was made during a closed-session meeting.

...not that I give a rats posterior about what happens in California, but aren't they supposed to be the most "transparent" party? Nothing done behind closed doors, no secret meetings.
