Well all I can say is whomever did that 'show' was clueless. NASCAR started from running MOONSHINE - not rum LMAO!! The souped up cars were to outrun the revenuer's and it all started in Wilkes (by God) County NC. Thing is they could not outrun the radio!!

I was raised on an 83 acre working farm there and I also worked for RJR/SME (R J Reynolds and their subsidiary Sports Marketing Enterprises) for several years. I met, knew and worked for some of the NASCAR and other racing pioneers as well as the folks who created the "Sports Marketing" industry that exists today. I was blessed to work in all 3 main series. Winston CUP (NASCAR) Winston Drag Racing (NHRA) and the Winston Racing Series (small local tracks) and we provided track owners with a lot of red and white paint!!!

Now you know the truth!!

PEACE

The originators of NASCAR were Rum runners in the south. They would soup up their cars to be faster than the cops then started racing each other. That's where Nascar started. Never knew that. Its all about mega $$$$$$$$$$$$$ now, just like any other sport............
