I agree. I don't have a TV with built-in-streaming, but I've used my brother's before and it's awful. He pointed out that Google apparently forces patches through to it - just as Microsoft and others do to our PCs - and they keep breaking it. He finds it infuriating.

On the other hand, I attached a little Google Chrome dongle to my non-streaming TV so that it can stream, and I *LOVE* it. Very easy to use, and it is consistent in its behavior. I have Netflix and Hulu on my laptop, and the site hydro_gen told us about. I guess I've got Amazon Prime too, though I don't use it for that purpose. From the laptop, I stream to the big-screen TV and have more TV than anyone could want. The monthly expense for Netflix and Hulu is about $20. (I'm considering dropping Netflix. I like Hulu better. Doing so would knock the monthly bill down to $7.)
