Re: "I never watch it . I hate streaming television."
I agree. I don't have a TV with built-in-streaming, but I've used my brother's before and it's awful. He pointed out that Google apparently forces patches through to it - just as Microsoft and others do to our PCs - and they keep breaking it. He finds it infuriating.

On the other hand, I attached a little Google Chrome dongle to my non-streaming TV so that it can stream, and I *LOVE* it. Very easy to use, and it is consistent in its behavior. I have Netflix and Hulu on my laptop, and the site hydro_gen told us about. I guess I've got Amazon Prime too, though I don't use it for that purpose. From the laptop, I stream to the big-screen TV and have more TV than anyone could want. The monthly expense for Netflix and Hulu is about $20. (I'm considering dropping Netflix. I like Hulu better. Doing so would knock the monthly bill down to $7.)

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Good morning Captain!

Seems like a reasonable thng to look for more price competitive options. I have a Roku device in my spare bedroom and a ROKU t.v. in my main living room and a subscritption to Fox nation given to us by a daughter.

I never watch it . I hate streaming television.

BUTTTTTTT
that said, I understand why people are leaving the UBER expensive cable t.v. experience.

Like everyone else, I wish it were a bit more reasonable for the high speed internet and television shows.

I don;t realy know how outrageous the satellite t.v. stuff is but I still need high speed broadband internet . Satellite internet just does not cut it..

But the cable companies have a basic monopoly so they will continue to cut their own throats as subscribers leave. Maybe they will eventually figure out that it is better to have millions more subscribers and chare a little less. or maybe not..
