Thanks Decomposed - I had cleaned out my desk last week and knew I was on my way out. And I am not looking for any position as I have one, http://www.discers4whiskers.org and this was simply God's way of redirecting me back on course to do what I am meant to do!!

And I hope that one day when you do dine on bear that you find it to be tasty - as expressed I did not. Now moose - that is a great meat to eat!!

AND today is "National love your pet" day yet for us pet owners we love our pets every day. And damn - I do miss my little Scooby.

Re: "Ohh yea - one last thing. As I am obviously the only bored member who has had BEAR meat I will say this again. BEAR, regardless of how it is cooked, is still NASTY imho."
One of the articles I posted agreed with your assessement - *if* the bear has recently been eating salmon. It said that the fish oil permeates the bear meat and the result is "ick". I can accept that.

I'll consider myself forewarned but will still try New Hampshire bear meat one day and let you know what I think. It will probably be a few years from now unless I run into someone who invites me over for a bear dinner.

In all sincerity, congrats on leaving your census job. It's way too easy to stay with a bad job or boss. That winds up not being so good for either you OR your employer. Better by far to move on and find a better fit.
