Re: "why would modern day boys want this??Most of the boys in the two troops I was involved with didn't want to be there. They were in it because their parents wanted them in it. It was the more mature (which is not the same as "older") boys who respected it and what it had done for them.

The point of BSA is to teach boys how to be men. The mere thought that it now accepts girls makes me ill. It is, obviously, an organization that has been hollowed out and is ready to die.
