What we know: Why Noah's Event Venue shut down with no notice, no refunds
Noah's Event Venue closed dozens of locations around the country - including one in Greenville - and many couples are left wondering if they'll still have a venue for their wedding.
The Noah's Event Venue website alerted visitors on Monday that "negative publicity, along with the [bankruptcy] court order, has made it impossible to continue current operations."
The company has not responded to request for comment.
Iana Amsterdam, a track and field coach at Clemson University, said she gave Noah's all of her savings - about $6,500 - as part of the planning process for her May wedding.
Around 2 p.m. Monday, she received an email from the venue saying it was forced to close.
"I didn't even know they filed for bankruptcy," Amsterdam said.
