...if the dems were smart, and they aren't, they would knock off all this impeachment crap and nominate trump. Running for the presidency in two different parties is not illegal and as far as I can see it is the only way the dems can get a victory in nov.

Panicky James Carville: It's the 'End of Days' If Democrats Nominate Bernie Sanders

James Carville is the craggy face of Democrat desperation. On today's Morning Joe, Carville spoke in literally apocalyptic terms, warning that the Democrat party is "the only thing between the United States and the abyss," and that if Democrats nominate Jeremy Corbyn [i.e., Bernie Sanders], it's going to be the "end of days."

Our Scott Whitlock caught Carville making similar comments several days ago. But Sanders still has a strong lead in New Hampshire polls, and Biden seems on the verge of utter collapse. So Carville apparently felt the need to renew his desperate appeal to Democrats before they hurl themselves off the electoral bridge.

Carville says he has no interest in a "cult" -- suggesting Bernie has one. But Carville's approach to the obvious fact of Clinton's aggressive philandering and sexual harassment was to deny it ever existed. “If you drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find,” he famously said about Paula Jones.

JAMES CARVILLE: And I'll see this just as clearly and directly as I can. The only thing between the United States and the abyss is the Democratic party. That's it. And if we go the way of the British Labour party, if we nominate Jeremy Corbyn [i.e., Bernie Sanders], it's going to be the end of days . . . We're going to be the British Labour party. We're going to be out in some field, radical, left-wing la-la land.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: So what exactly are you afraid of?

CARVILLE: I'm afraid that Donald Trump is going to get re-elected, and I have to do this for four more years. And I don't think that we can make it. I really don't . . . The country just can't continue like this. And it has to have an alternative. I know, Joe, you're not a member of the Democratic party, but you know this as well as I do. That's it! That's the only hope for America.

. . .

There's a certain part of the Democratic party that wants us to be a cult. I'm not interested in being in a cult. I'm 75 years old. I'm just not, I'm not a very culty person . . . Some people in this country want a revolution. They want disruption. I don't know. They scream at people and bully people. And I don't know how you win an election: 78 years old, screaming in a microphone about the revolution.

These people are perfectly happy to be Jeremy Corbyn. They're all campaigning for him. They were taking pictures and everything. I mean, good God! We've got to do something here, people.

Typical Democrat. He whines like crazy but he's not going to suggest making any changes to Democrat processes.
