well

imagine being like a Tuna. Ya could get hooked or netted, skinned, gutted and disemboweled as well as beheaded, and then fileted and what was leftover ground up and put in Tuna fish cans with oil or water. Then eaten by someone or something else, like the family cat for example...

Ya got to let your imagine roam a little a bit big guy! lol!!!!!!

Re: "Hope the ticker is keeping up to the task!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always thinkin of ya.......... "
Thanks. The ticker is doing fine. My breathing is a bit screwed up... every so often I have this huge, uncontrolled inhale... kind of like a slow-motion hiccup that only stops when my lungs are so full that it hurts. I'm hoping that it will clear up when the inflammation in my neck and chest do.

I can really feel the stitches in my torso. When I turn or stretch, it feels like threads are pulling my skin. It's more annoying than painful. The sutures will take up to six months to dissolve.

I'm about done with painkillers. Two days after surgery, I declined opioids and was reduced to 8 tylenol per day. They kept arguing with me but did respect my wishes. (The nurses have multiple entries in my log saying "patient refuses painkillers.") They did send me home with a nice stash of percocet, though. I was okay with that since using them would have been entirely up to me. If I'm ever in serious pain, I guess I've got 'em. (I'm not sure what I might ever do to myself that would compare with being filleted like a fish and sewn back up!)
