Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

Re: "$150 a pound over seas. They are like 1.5 lbs each///////"
I used to dig for those things out of Lawson's Landing, near Point Reyes. I had a plunger/pump made out of a PVC pipe and a half tennis ball. When the tide went out, I'd walk around until one of 'em squirted at me, then start digging. They'd be down a full arm's length. Almost impossible to dig out, but with the PVC pump, I'd just blow the sand away from the neck until I reached the shell, then blow the sand around it away too. The clam would just float up.

My brother and I could bring back ten legally. That would totally fill a 5 gallon bucket.
