Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who cited nonexistent "famed economist Milton Keynes," while attempting to regurgitate a Feb. 3 New Yorker article advocating for shorter work weeks, universal basic income and work-sharing in order to "ameliorate the effects of slower G.D.P. growth."
According to AOC, 'Milton Keynes' "by 2030, GDP and technology would have advanced so much, that it would allow everyday people to work as little as FIFTEEN HOURS a week and provide for their families."
The Democratic Socialist acknowledged her mistake according to The Blaze, writing in a subsequent Instagram post "UGGGH TYPO. It's John Maynard Keynes. Mixed his name with Milton Friedman — a (very) different economist."
