Good Sunday and a blessed Lord's Day to all!
Jesus is still on The Throne and HE is Still Lord and God, and, he is our great High Priest who FEELS our aches and pains and suffering because HE ALSO felt them when He gave himself to become a mortal man also and feel everything we do.

HE knows our suffering and our pain. He bore more pain and suffereing than any of will ever experience on that Roman cross after beaing beaten so badly with a cat of nine tails and his entire back split wide open that you would not even recognize him as a human being, accroding to the scriptures. He know and has empathy for ALL our suffering and pain and can RELATE.

Dear Captain, as a friend, you and I have spoken briefly and I am very happy that you have gained medical healthcare you sought so you could then move on to get your problem causing all that debilitating pain resolved.

As one who has undergone TWO such surgeries because I could no longer stand or walk due to the pain caused by my spinal condition, once from the low right side of the vertebrae, 4 of them, and two years ago it my left side and low. I did not have Broken bones but let me assure you that dibilitating pain that cripples you is not a respector of nor cares what the cause is. You are suffering and get no relief and you have lost your life.

I get this better than most. I cost me 15,000 dollars two years ago out of pocket to finally get referred to the surgeon who then reviewed and examined and ordered deepr radiologic pictures and views before we talked about the actual procedure he would use to remove the cause of the loss of use of my left leg.

That road from being unable to walk began in November and I went through several procedures that were not surgical, and yet cost me thousands of dollars, because they had to be tried first to bring relief, even thogh they were never going to get rid of the cause.... I was alos initially told to go to therapy. The therapist, who was the senior therapist of the clinic and I had been to in past and had great relationship with, said after examining me and what was happening before he did anything said there was NOTHING he could for me to help improve the condition and wrote a note to the Orthopedic doctor stating that. That probably helped me get the surgery needed a month sooner than would have happened.

Did I enjnoy the time delays? No. Just like you. I get it. I know firsthand exactly where you are.

BUT, as DE pointed out, it is the system. GO to the therapist and open a dialogue with them and explain to them what you have been through with the vertebra being broken so they understand what seems to be the root underlying cause of the debilitation.

You might find that that after a couple of sessions and no relief which you should tell them, that they will be able to say, "we have tried but there is nothing that we can do to correct this cause of your chronic pain".

That would be first thing I would humbly suggest.

I do not know how that medical coverage you have obtained is set up so I cannot comment much about it, but usually before an orthopedic back surgeon will look at you as a surgical patient, they will need the patient to do the "conservative" stuff first to see if that will help before deciding on surgery, whichis the last step of the process.

IT SUCKS I know. Been there twice already. Likely a third one is coming as myright lower side is really givingm e fits again... I am sure it is arthritic related and maybe some disc herniation there.

I think a follow up heart to heart talk with the ortho as to how long messing around with the therpaist will be needed with NO IMPROVEMENT before he will be willing to consider the MRI, Xrays, CT Scan, and see if he can solve the root cause of the pain and what the possible outcome might be.

I was warned sternly a couple different times, including right before I was put under the first time I might wake up worse and possibly a parapalegic. They asked me again if I was sure I wanted to take that chance before putting me under.

Because my life was essentially over anyway, I went through it. Yes, there are lots of time delays and it is frustrating beyond belief. I know. Went through all that and actually fired one orthopedic and soughts econd opinion from the one who did the work because he was recommended to me by Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

So you will have time delays. Youwill still hurt and be in pain.

Listen to me. If men who justhad their legs blown off and an arm can survive, and I am an eyewitness to that and had to carry some of them on my back out of the hot zome where the battle was raging, you can do this..

You hurt, but you are tough.

Work it thruogh the system. You can always see if you can go see another ortho as a second opinion if you need a referral according to the insurance company. Never hurts. I did. But I tried a boatload of things from the first one that did not help first..... Then I got a second opinion.

Unfortunately, we sometimes have to work within the system unless we aere gong to pay for everything ourselves and then you dont have to in order to geet a referral.

My very best wished to you my friend. I do hope and pray that this will resolve itself quickly for you! Thumbs Up
