You are supposed to get the last haircut for the year
about the last warm day in October . . . Then adopt
the shaggy dog look until the first warm spring day.

Interesting. I wonder if other retirees are doing what I am? Since retiring, I haven't been to a barber shop. (Update: Actually, I went to one in the first month, when I was in CA to prepare my father's house for sale. Haircuts are a lot cheaper in Sacramento for some reason.)

My multi-talented (hair-cutting, chauffeuring, groundhog-killing) wife gives me my haircuts. It's easy: #2 across my whole head, then #1 on the sides. (Or is it #3 and #2? She knows...) Takes about ten minutes and saves $20 each time.

The January cut is usually the only one I dread. Sitting on the deck without a shirt when it's 25° and breezy really bites.
