Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

In the past, they could THEORETICALLY have stopped monetizing the debt but it was obvious even a few decades ago that human nature prevented it from happening. It was akin to: "If the Constitution would be strictly and literally enforced, conditions in this country would dramatically improve." Well, yeah, but that's not going to happen. Too many people are short-sighted, greedy and ill-prepared. Not gonna happen even though it would avoid certain calamity.

The nice thing is that even though it's too late for the country, it's still possible to protect yourself from the next stage of debt monetization by moving some of your own wealth out of the system. Not many are thinking that way so it's still doable. I won't be able to say that forever.
