It depends on the nature of "when SHTF". If it's purely economic, then yeah. If it's war or EMP then maybe not. Even an economic collapse could cause some of us to lose essential meds, electricity or internet.

BTW, now that I'm on a life-sustaining medication, I need to talk to my doctor about acquiring a reserve supply of it. I'd like to have at least a year's worth of coumadin. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow. Hopefully he has no problem with it. If he'd just double my dosage, I'd build up a reserve quickly enough. Fortunately, coumadin probably keeps. It's just rat poison, after all.
