GOOD with all your excellent investments and everything else you worked all your life for, Sounds like you are ready to blow that scene!!!. You can always find lil side job cash money, to do. I can do boats but am not able to go out and do what I used to General contractor stuff and build, which I still love to do. My dang body got busted up pretty good the last 2 years. Go for it MR!!!!!!!!!!!


I sure wish I thought more about retirement in my goofy working life. Everything was for the day DAMN the future LOL OOPS....That was a mistake..

A few years ago, there was a buy out offer. A co-worker
of mine (he and I do the same thing) were called in to
see the Big Boss . . (one at a time) and we was both told
we were not getting a buy out offer. Something about we
was too valuable (and darn near impossible to find anyone
with our levels of expertise on our equipment) .. .
(I knew I shoulda hit them up for a BIG raise.)

This time around it smells like someone much higher up on
the food chain has decided to get rid of anyone who
costs the company money . . . the maintenance people
(of which I are one) are getting let go this time.

My boss said he was offered a buy out . . . but he is not
going to take it. He said he wants to watch and see how
long till the place self destructs.

And then there is always the possibility that 'they' might
recognize the mistake, and not let us go anyway.

I think I'll take the offer.
