Not nearly as bad as 'they' would like 'us' to believe.
That 'Haftar' fellow, and I thought he was spelled 'Hiftar',
has done quite the job in hammering terrorist minded
militias all over Libya.
Most of Libya is now under the control of the LNA - commanded
by Haftar. (Strategy Page regularly addresses what Libya
is currently going through.)
I believe it was the 'GNA' - or 'government of national accord'
which is backed by the United Nations, is corrupt as all get out,
and is based in Tripoli. Which is a snakes nest of private
militias - half of which are little more than terrorist loving
miscreants.
The 'Hor' (and I forget what that acronym was) is out of Tobruk
(Thank Duck Duck Go - The House of Representatives (HoR) is a legislature of Libya. As of 2019, during the Libyan Civil War, it is generally associated with the "Tobruk government" ...)
is a 'Libyan Government' Haftar works for and
are the ones who have restored oil production in Libya.
'GNA' is backed by Turkey which apparently has imperialistic ambitions
over Libya . . . and the 'Hor' is backed by Russia and Egypt and
I see them as being much less corrupt than the GNA.
Personally I see no percentage in Haftar going along with a
'cease fire' which only helps Turkey to re-arm and re-supply
their terrorist wanna-be's in Libya.
