As discharge approached, a male nurse sat down with me to go through last minute things - including the various brochures.

"And this one," he said, "covers the heart healthy diet we recommend for you."

"Uh, but isn't my heart going to be 100 percent after I finish healing?" I asked.

"Absolutely," he said.

"So why do I need to be on a heart healthy diet?" I asked.

"It's what we recommend after a heart procedure," he said. "The diet will help you avoid any other heart issues."

"Ah," I replied. "It's really the diet that EVERYONE should be on then, right?"

"Of course," he said.

"Okay. That makes sense," I said.

LOL. Once my heart heals, it's actually going to be BETTER than most people's. My heart, after all, has been thoroughly checked out, and one part of it that is rated at ONE HUNDRED YEARS is now brand new. Once I heal up, I think I'll be eating just the same as I always have.

(The one exception is that I must shun dark green leafy vegetables from now on. They contain Vitamin K, and Vitamin K is the antidote for coumadin - which I need. Vitamin K could cause me to throw a clot. So... limited amounts of turnip greens, collards, Swiss chard, mustard greens, parsley, kale and spinach for me from now on. That'll be my actual "heart healthy diet." Bacon and steak and butter and cake will do me no particular harm at all. I think I can live with that.)

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
