In my house, it is tradition with my family that we read aloud from Luke chapter 2 the familiar Bible passages that speak vividly of JUST WHY and WHO we celebrate this thing called Christmas.
I would like to share with you what a few of these verses are and wish each one the very best GOD has for you through HIS SON Jesus CHRIST, whom we celebrate HIS COMING and Birth for Our redemption to God.
Merry Christmas and the Lord Bless You and shine in your hearts and minds this Christmas season and forevermore.
Luke chapter 2 verses 10 - 14 say:
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people.
11. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
WHY would GOD proclaim thru his holy angels that there would be peace on earth and goodwill toward men (and women)???
Because of what GOD made available to all men and women of every nation and every language on earth. Verse 11 is the KEY. A SAVIOR has been born this day for ALL MANKIND and HE is NONE OTHER than JESUS CHRIST The LORD.
Yes, HE ALONE IS LORD. He spoke and created Heaven and earth and all the creatures in them. He spoke and created the universe and all the stars and named every one of them. HE CAME to earth from His throne in heaven to REDEEM all who would come to HIM by simple faith believeing in HIM and taking HIM as LORD and Savior!
This is a miraculous day in all history of the earth that GOD HIMSELF left heaven's throne and came to this world HE created, (spoken into existence by HIS power) and became man while remaining God in order to redeem us unto HIMSELF through HIS death on the cross and shedding HIS Holy, precious, divine blood for the remission AND CLEANSING of ALL OUR sins...
It was HIS blood that cleanses all our sins. He paid for all the sins of every person in the world. THAT IS WHY HE came and the scriptures say in chapter 2 verse 10, unto us is born a SAVIOR which is Christ The LORD !
It is my sincere prayer and desire that on this day we celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ to save our sinful selves from the punishment we deserve, and to forgive us and provide for us an eternal in Heaven, that where HE is, there we may be also.....
God bless you and please keep the LORD Jesus Christ foremost in your Christmas. One day we will all stand before HIM. We will be on our knees before the Lord and judgement will be passed. WHAT HAVE YOU done with the baby in the manger???? Have you trusted HIM as your only hope of salvation, or have you put off asking His forgiveness and for HIS salvation HE freely offers you?
Death is coming and when you die it will be too late to change your mind.
Please put CHRIST in your Christmas and have a Blessed Celebration of the Birth of the Creator of all things and the Saviour of our Souls....
