"Unfortunately, no," she replied. "You are one of the lucky few right now."

============

I was thinking the same thing.

==========

LNA = licensed nursing assistant.

=========

I don't think that many of the current "residents" came in re for a "planned procedure." Most on this floor are here because of heart attacks or other problems that led to surgery. Recovery from a severe heart attack is chancy at best.

They "flat line" first and then it's emergency surgery.

Honestly, I can't believe how well you're doing. Thankgod.

Glad to see ya back!

Re: "YOU DON'T SAY HELLO TO ANYONE?"
Nonsense. I said "Hello" to one of the LNAs just a few minutes ago. We talked business for a bit and I said "Well, I hope the other patients on this floor are doing as well as I am." "Unfortunately, no," she replied. "You are one of the lucky few today."

Yikes.

I don't think that many of the current "residents" came in for a "planned procedure" the way I did. Most on this floor are here because of heart attacks or other problems that led to surgery. Recovery from a severe heart attack is chancy at best.
